Servant Equipping Team
Our leadership team is called the 'Servant Equipping Team' to remind us that we are called to serve and equip the saints for service (Eph 4:11-12). Jesus came to serve and not to be served (Mark 10:45). As leaders, we model our lives after Christ and begin by serving in love, knowing that without love, it does not matter what we do (1 Cor 13:1-3). Equipping the saints for service means that we see each Christian as a follower of Christ who has been called to make disciples of all nations. As such, each Christian has a special calling and purpose in his/her life. And it is the responsibility and privilege of the leader to serve and equip each to walk in His gifting and anointing and eventually his/her calling.
Equipping is not only done in the classroom setting, but also in daily life. Jesus taught in large groups but also in small groups as He mentored His twelve disciples. In the small group setting, He modeled numerous spiritual truths and principles as well as demonstrated how to walk in power and authority.
As servant equipping leaders, we not only invest our lives through teaching Scriptural truths and principles in the larger group setting, but we also joyfully spend time with others in small group settings. Following Christ's example, we share our lives and strive to model His truth, love, power, and authority in order to see the lost and hurting be set free and be brought into the Kingdom of God.
