WHAT IS PRAYER?
"What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?" Deut 4:7
Prayer is all about relationship with God. As a Christian, we were given the privilege to be called sons and daughters of God (John 1:12). Imagine the Creator of the heavens and earth, being our heavenly Father, who desires so much to be in fellowship and relationship with us. It's hard enough to get an audience with the presidents of the countries of this world, yet, the Creator of the universe longs for us to come into His Presence and was willing to sacrifice His Son so that we may have this relationship now and forever.
So prayer is us communing with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. That's all.
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5: 14 - 15.
The purpose of the prayer ministry team is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the body of Christ. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God's love, guidance and healing power would be released for the edification of His people and andvancement of His Kingdom to His glory.
We pray! And we equip the whole church to pray including our children so that each of us can walk in the fullness of relationship with the Lord.
The Prayer Ministry oversees the prayer service currently held on Wednesday nights, the individual and corporate prayer needs of the church, prayer ministry during celebration, and initiates the guidelines for our annual 21 day fast.
The potential prayer team members will be trained and equipped for service under the Prayer team guidelines of TOUCH Family church.
