Touch Family Daniel Fast January 3-23, 2016
Each family or person should set aside 30 minutes or more per day to spend in devotion and prayer. After time in the word, spend time in prayer for the needs of the global church, the local church and for the needs of your cell and family. This time will help us to be sanctified before the Lord and to grow in the word. The Bible says in Psalm 119:9,11 "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to the Word... I have hidden your words in my heart so that I may not sin against you." We were reminded by our children’s prophetic paintings: "The Lord is wanting to use us to penetrate the darkness with His light. He's is in the process of refining us and is ready to release His gifts among us. However, He desires that in the process of being sanctified, that we must be deeper in His word." On January 3 decide what you will be petitioning God for personally during this fast.
For the global church pray for unity in the body and an awakening to our first love. Pray that we will become a spotless bride for Christ. Pray that we will abide in Christ with love and obedience to his leading. Pray for God’s will do be done and His kingdom to come.
For the local church pray for our Pastor and his family for blessing, health and wisdom. Pray for all leaders that they will hear, submit and obey God’s will in all things. Pray for God’s vision for Touch Family to become clear. Pray that God will bless and protect those that are called to the nations for ministry. Pray for God to direct our steps as we continue to search for a new property. Pray for a strengthening of our cells and our effectiveness to outreach to others. Pray for unity and a greater measure of the Holy Spirit to fill each of us so that we may walk in the fullness of all that God has for us. Pray that God will give us His heart and love for those that are lost. Pray for us to hunger and thirst for God’s word.
Pray for your personal petitions. Pray that God will help you to develop a lifestyle of reading and obeying His word that continues beyond the fast.
DO YOU HAVE A NEED? THEN FOLLOW THESE STEPS
FIRST: Find two or three scriptures in the Bible that apply to your concern. God’s Word is true – so base your prayer on HIS promises.
SECOND: Open your heart to God’s Holy Spirit. Ask Him to show you anything you may need to know about this matter.
THIRD: Write down your prayer request like a petition to God based on what He’s already said in His Word. Date it, sign it and consider this a contract. You have submitted your petition to the Lord and according to Jesus, anything you ask in His name, and believe you receive, you will get it.
FOURTH: What does the enemy say about your situation? What does God say about your situation? What are you going to say about it? You want to declare the truth of God by speaking His words aloud.
FIFTH: Praise God for answering your need; trust in Him that He is at work and He has already answered you
